The brown eyes of a dog shot swiftly over the snow covered trees. So, this weas the land those with indecisive hearts went? Just as hers was. She was so new to the wilds but perhaps she'd be able to learn here. It appeared no others resided here. As of yet. A hefty grunt came from the she-wolf. Or was she even a wolf at all? Her body was built like a wolf, but she was smaller then that. Underneath her pelt her muscles bulged strong against her skin. If you asked her she'd tell you it was from her many years of pulling human sleds. For now her coat was tidy but that would most certainly change with her new life style. Everything would.
Around her neck a chain collar with a smaller chain that had attatched her to a post still hung. She didn't even seem to care. It didn't matter to her if she had a reminder of how good her life was with the humans. They'd treated her kindly and all that but she'd just wanted a life to call her own. And now here she was.
Beige paws treaded lightly against the earth. The same beige speckeld up her legs and her stomach. It was odd looking when put against the dark coal dust black of her coat. Most of the she-wolf was black for that matter. One her face she had bits of a traditional husky mask in the same beige that over took her paws.
The way she moved one could tell she'd practiced it many times over. The humans had trained most of the slack out of her. As she wandered the small territory she was sure to leave her scent. She'd call herself leader and if anyone revolted she could just put him or her back in his or her place. Despite her new dislike of her doggish scent it was already clear. The she-wolf was infacta hybrid. Half wolf, half dog. Taht didn't stop her from attempting to start a life out here in the wild. She would live up to her name, and her heritage. If ever she met with any of the males in her family again they would be proud of her. A warm fire had already begun to burn within her.
And what be her name? Tikaani. In the tounge of the Inuit it speaks 'wolf.'

You know the hollow sound of a sword being twanged upon another. So hollow and eerie, but the sound was not unpleasant as all. Braska's fore-horn had caught the low branch that seemed to mock his appearance. Braska's horns were new. As of this morning, actually. He had still not accustomed to walking in higher-roofed places. His strange markings glowed faintly, casting reflections on a near surface. His eyes were crystal blue, matching the tone of his glow. his fur was a pallid white that didn't fit in near enouogh.
He picked up the scent of something he had thought he would never be able to bear with again. A wolf. He stopped dead and peered ahead of him into the shadows. Where was this 'wolf' he had longed to be so much alike again.

A new stench wafted in from the borders of /her/ new lands. Oh, a male? A full wolf no less. Her heart began to shudder in her chest. He didn't smell hostile but one could never tell from a mere scent. She was Leader of Barkpath! Tikaani couldn't get the shakes over the mere thought of meeting a stranger! It was only one little wolf! She had the blood of a wolf within her and she could tackle any challange!
Without a second thought on the matter Tikaani raised a howl to welcome the wanderer. Her father's voice was strongwithin her and the howl sounded like a true wolf's song. That pride of her blood only impowered her song and allowed her dominence in this land to vibrate through her voice. This was Tikaani's home and she was proud of it.

Braska withdrew a pace. Oh no.
It would'va been bad enough it been a loner.
But alpha?
He shuddered. He couldn't tell very well what gender this wolf was. But neverless, he should find out.
He trotted on and into the shadows past whish he had been staring. His crystal eyes holding any shape for wolf. His senses wore keen, but he was disoriented and his pawsteps heavy. He would not bother a reply. It would only sadden him more. The markings glowed with more intensity as nervous emotions took over.

It didn't take Tikaani long to find her intruder. When she did her jaw fell. She couldn't help but stare at this strangely decorated wolf. Two horns, glowing runes that covered his body, and glorious white wings. With the sheltered life Tikaani had lived she'd never seen anything so magical! Of course there were human tales of such things but she never thought she'd see one!
Feeling a bit out of place now Tikaani averted her eyes to the sky above his horns. How glorious they were! "G-Greetings stranger..." It wasn't the noble welcome Tikaani had hoped to give to her first visitor.

(Just to let you know, his horns are really only like..a few inches, not that long...thats just kinda..wierd..XD)
Braska peered at her with curious and worried eyes."Please...do not look at me. I will only cause some sort of harm. Please...there is nothing to be in awe o of. This is damnation. These markings, wings and horns, an abomination." he said, turning his head away. this day had gone bad. First his pack had tried to kill him. Then they left him. But the story was long.

She's just never seen anything like it before. So she's impressified.

Damnination? Why did he think such? They were so marvelous! Tikaani stole another glance before her eyes went to the snow. "If you'd never seen such a sight before you'd be impressed too." Shivers ran down her spine. A curse. Just like in stories! Was this all a dream? "You seem so docile. Are you giving me a hint?" Or perhaps he attmepted to take up a fight? No! IT was wrong of her to assume such so quickly! It was hard to find her smile. Tikaani was much to obsorbed with observing him and his strange misgiving of himself.

Braska's eyes roved back to her. " The folklore of such as myself have been misread. But I understand. Overnight, these things happened to me. These...abominations..and they have driven away all I have loved. I am meant for nothing but bad." he said, explaining his situation slightly."And what hint would I be giving? I am merely trying to tell you that no osuch eyes should feast themselves upon me. I am an omen."

The word 'omen' snapped Tikaani to attention. "-O-Omen? Of what? How did htis happen? What happened? Is it reversable?" She'd only just met this wolf but already Tikaani was so eager to help. Who would ever want this to happen? To become rejected by their family and pack only because of what they looked like? It was all because of fear. If only, if only. Right there and then Tikaani made the decision that she would help this wolf in whatever way she could. To leave misery on anothers shoulders was something she couldn't do.

(Ooooooooooohhhhh....I forgot that!)
Braska blinked at her." I know little. For I have only gotten this over the course of last night...." he said. He sat and looked at her." But they will not accept me back, even if I was to change. And an omen of what? I do not know, but surely I must be. For just look at me!"

Her head fell to the right and the ears went up. "All things happen for a reason, friend. I don't mean this cruelly, but perhaps this isn't something that just happened. Maybe it is some evil wolf's revenge...? Have you done anything that might upset the deities above?" Perhaps human stories could be useful. Tikaani had heard of both people and animals who had upset the spirits and gods. They'd been heavily punished. Whether this was a message of something to come or a punish or this stranger was lying to her, Tikaani was caught in a web of fascination for the poor creature.

Braska turned his gaze to her."No. My pack and me were simply like every other smart pack. WE gave tributes and did only good. I do not think I could have done something..." he thought hard."Nu-huh." he added. He sat back down and looked at the ground.

One brow raised. "And whom, may I ask, did you give these tributes too? What were they?" Tales of foolish wolves sometimes gave tributesd to the wrong spirits or gave the wrong items. Spirits could be rather random with their choices of offerings. Tikaani had never really chosen a deity other then believing there was something out there. She never really had the need to fall on her paws and ask for help. Her mouth twisted into a funny sort of knot as she tried to configure all of the given clues. It didn't make any sense. If he hadn't done anything wrong then why would he even be chosen as an omen? Perhaps some sort of evil spirit was behind it all. Maybe he'd just picked a victim at random and transformed him into this beast like wolf.

Braska blinked. " Simple ones. We gave half our portions of meat to Himile. We even sacrificed small village lambs to Igoti." he tilted his head."But one god had not been tributed this year, Markosious. We did not have the herbs needed in our land. The humans had killed it off..." he said. "It must have been him!" he said, now realising the possiblity.
